Privacy Policy

When a family submits a profile, we collect:

• Name, gender, date of birth and marital status.
• Birth time and birth place, used to work out Rasi, Nakshatra and Lagna.
• Religion, sect, sub-sect and gothram.
• Education, occupation, income range, height and general appearance details.
• Parents' names and number of siblings.
• Partner expectations.
• Mobile numbers and an email address.
• The registration fee payment reference you enter.

Members who sign in are identified by their registration number and date of birth. We also record which profiles a member has opened, so that each profile is shown only once and the daily viewing limit can be applied.

For security, we keep a one-way scrambled form of the visitor's IP address on sign-in attempts, so repeated wrong attempts can be slowed down. We do not store the plain IP address for this purpose.

• To review, approve and publish matrimonial profiles.
• To let signed-in members browse suitable profiles.
• To send you your registration number and other service messages by email.
• To arrange meetings and share success stories.
• To prevent misuse of the service.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.

Approved profiles are visible to signed-in members of the opposite gender. A profile shows bio-data, astrology and family details and the contact mobile number so that families can get in touch. Email addresses are not shown to other members. You can ask us to show “Member <registration number>” instead of your name.

We use a small sign-in cookie to keep a member or administrator signed in. It is needed for the site to work and is not used for advertising.

Third parties, described below, may also set cookies when you view pages that show their content.

This website uses Google AdSense to show advertisements. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads based on a visitor's earlier visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. We rely on trusted providers to run the website: cloud hosting, a database service, and an email delivery service for approval messages. They process information only to provide those services to us.

A profile stays on the site until the member or guardian asks for it to be removed, a marriage is settled, or we remove it under our Terms of Usage. To correct or delete a profile, write to us at the address below and quote your registration number.

This service is only for persons of legal marriageable age in India. Profiles of younger persons are not accepted.

We may update this policy from time to time. The version on this page, with its effective date, is the one that applies.
